Zuki will apply novel optical approaches for Raman imaging. He will also apply nanomaterials for surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) for ultra sensitive field instrument development. He will work with NASA mentor Dr. Bin Chen, who is an adjunct professor at the department of electrical engineering. Zuki currently has graduate assistantships from BIN-RDI and Aligned Research Program (ARP). He has been working at NASA Ames Research Center since 2008, and has already presented his research results in SPIE (The International Society for Optical Engineering) conference. He also works with a group of undergraduate students at Dr. Chen's laboratory.
