Exit Survey

Students wishing to graduate must complete an exit survey by the date set as the Monday before the last day of instruction for the quarter of graduation.

Interview with Electrical Engineering Department Chair

After completing the survey, students should arrange to meet the Chair of the Department, for an exit interview. This is an informal discussion about the student's experience as an SoE student. This interview must take place before the last day of instruction.

Outcomes Assessment

Students following 2002/2003 curriculum or later - one of the following:

1. Senior thesis submission,
2. A 2.5 grade point average (GPA) in all attempts at required and elective courses for the major, or
3. A portfolio review (see below for submission form) consisting of the following, due two weeks before the end of the quarter:
   1. A one- to two-page description of their senior design project and, if the project was collaborative, a description of the student's contribution to the project, plus a short description of what the student has learned in upper-division courses they have taken for the major; and
   2. A two-page essay on the relationship of engineering to society: the contributions of engineering to society, the rights and obligations of engineers, and the ethical responsibilities of professional engineers to society.

Students whose submissions are deemed inadequate, either in presentation or in content, may be required to revise and rewrite the portfolio or to complete an additional project course.
